Victoria Clubs is to here to help you get involved in the club community on campus.

Club and group participation is a fantastic way to make friends, enjoy activities and learn things outside of the lecture theatre and make your student experience at Victoria richer and more rewarding. We encourage you to join a club or group—they provide valuable balance, supporting academic performance and boost your CV.

With about 140 clubs on campus, including social, sports, cultural, religious, martial arts, performance, film and media and student representative groups, each offering their own blend of Victoria club culture. Sports

There are over 40 sporting clubs on campus that range from martial arts and tramping to rugby and Quidditch. Victoria's top sport clubs play in the local Wellington competition and some of our students participate at representative level either regionally or nationally. Check out the sport section of the clubs directory to see if there is a sport that interests you—either as competitive player, or to get involved socially.

Societies and groups

The University welcomes the contribution made to student life by clubs, societies and other organisations. With more than 100 recognised societies and groups to choose from, there is something for everybody. Our students are busy in their local community, building partnerships with political parties, ambassadors, supporting global issues, pursuing leadership opportunities, and attending speaker and club events.
